Mitel 53xx Phones #
Mitel 53xx phones are supplied in MiNET mode by default and need to be defaulted and switched to SIP mode before they can be used on ~.Dimensions.~.

Ensure that all phones have been added to ~.Dimensions.~ before setting them up in SIP mode.
SIP Mode #
The handset needs to be factory defaulted, and then changed into SIP mode by holding *7 at boot until the display confirms SIP mode has been enabled.
Initial Configuration
Put the phone into SIP mode by holding down keys * and 7 when the phone is off and then plug in the phone while continuing to hold the keys.

To revert to MiNET mode, hold down keys * and 6.
You can also put the phone into SIP Mode via the Phone Mode option in the phone. You can also change it back to MiNET mode this way.
Automatic TFTP Configuration #
The easiest way to provide phones with the TFTP server address is by using DHCP. The following options below need to be provided to the phones if using DHCP:
- 128 - Address - 20.49.199.209
- 130 - ASCII - MITEL IP PHONE
Manual TFTP Configuration #
Enter the phone configuration by menu by holding down both the Volume Up/Down keys together. Then let go of the Volume Down key and press 2, 3, 4 and let go of the Volume Up key.
- Press # to change to Network Parameters
- Press * to enter Network Parameters
- Press # twice to get to Static IPV4
- Press * to enter Static IPV4
- Press # to get to Modify IPV4
- Press * to enter Modify IPV4
- Press down arrow 6 times to get to TFTP SVR IP Address
- Type in the TFTP server address - 20.49.199.209.
- Press down arrow to get to TFTP SVR PORT and enter 69
- Press down four times to get to Store Changes
- Press * for Yes
- Press * to reboot
Once the phone makes contact with the TFTP server, it will be provided with updated firmware, certificates and details to connect to ~.Dimensions.~.
